A piece in the ""Nostalgia"" collection. A statement on the Opiod Epidemic. This piece is a striking image of a classic Polaroid camera on a bright pink background. Its truly staggering the amount of people and talented artists that we have lost to the opioid epidemic. This painting creates a striking image that will surely promote some thought and discussion about the crisis we are facing.

Artwork Description
Artist Bio
Rav Lal is a Fijian-born, Canadian-raised self taught artist now living in Queensland Australia.
Rav started his art journey using recycled pallets as a canvas for his one of a kind Pallet art creations. He was inspired to use pallets as they have their own story to tell.
"You don't know where that pallet has travelled. It could have journeyed around the world, picking up its unique look, character, and scars." "Often they are then discarded...just when they become the most beautiful."
Giving the pallet wood new life as a unique piece of art, has proved very popular for Rav. Completing dozens of commissions, Rav has now begun producing reproductions of his Pallet artwork that are more accessible to his fans. Originals and commissions are still available at Rav's discretion. Feel free to reach out to him.
More recently Rav has started taking a look at common objects and interpreting them on canvas with a slight twist, to make a commentary on today's current social issues. His series entitled "Nostalgia" provokes closer inspection and discussion. A pleasing image that is sure to create a talking piece for your guests.
"I am inspired to create artwork that connects with the viewer and allows them to make an emotional connection to it."
