Artwork Description

Even in darkness there is some glory and with hope there is a little sparkle.

The flowers remind me of a dramatic bloom in all its glory at midnight. In the darkness of night the flower is blooming , despite the darkness it still blooms and even dares to sparkle just a little bit.

‘A Little Dramatic’ was created on 14mm Habotai silk with artist quality silk dyes. The artwork is then mounted onto a canvas and framed in a gorgeous oak frame.

The artwork is a dramatic abstract floral in deep reds contrasted with a gorgeous shade of blues, dark navy and black. The gold ‘stamens’ add a tough of glamour to the blooms and are an eye catching detail that will shine across the room.

Artist Bio

I love colour......the brighter the better. My art is influenced by my beautiful surroundings of the far north coast of NSW. I live on the small peninsula of Fingal Head and I enjoy its natural beauty, lushness and glorious beaches. Painting is relatively new to me but I have had the privilege of having my own business creating beautiful things for the wedding industry all my life, you name it, I have made it!

I have a new love for acrylics and mixed media with a little dabble in watercolours! I am self taught with a lot of help from YouTube and some wonderful online teachers. My love of flowers goes back to my childhood and being mesmerised by a tiny florist on the main street shopping centre where I grew up, I would have only been 5 or 6 years old. My family owned a florist shop when I left school and my love of flowers and the wedding industry grew from there. I feel very privileged to have spent my working career creating beautiful things and now my creativity is reenergised in my paintings.

It would be my honour to have my artwork adorning your walls.
