Artist Bio

Rebecca is an Australian artist living and working in the beautiful Northern Rivers area of NSW . Painting Kookaburras and Galahs and all types of birds and animals, Rebecca captures the beauty and essence of these animals through her own unique style of creative and abstract realism. Her artworks are exclusive and one of a kind paintings that will captured the heart and soul of her viewers.
Rebecca spends her mornings in her studio where she is visited by the native birds that live around her home before heading to teach painting classes to children of all ages .
Painting intuitively and following her heart regarding subject matter and style, not afraid to change her style completely if the subject matter calls for it. Having studied a Bachelor of Arts in her early career Rebecca chose to leave this setting and continue her journey as an artist through self taught techniques and ideas. Her chosen medium is acrylic however will use pastel, oil, charcoal and pens at times. Rebecca will reuse canvas that she has worked on to build layers and sometimes will paint on cardboard or second hand paintings found trolling op shops or garage sales. Having exhibited in many cafes and galleries and selling through these as well as online, please feel free to contact Rebecca for commissions or with any questions regarding her work.
