Artwork Description

Inspired by the vast landscapes surrounding Broken Hill, Barrier Country captures the quiet strength and beauty of Australia's far west. Layers of deep black, rust red, ochre and weathered blue evoke the colours of iron-rich earth, old mining structures and endless skies that define the Barrier Ranges region.

Artist Bio

Rebecca Foreman is a Brisbane-based artist working primarily in acrylics. Her paintings are colourful, expressive and intuitive, often beginning with a feeling, a colour combination, or a small moment from everyday life. Rather than planning each piece too tightly, Rebecca allows the work to unfold gradually through layers, movement and experimentation.

Self-taught and influenced by her late father’s creative spirit, Rebecca has developed a playful, contemporary style that reflects her love of colour, mood and composition. Her work moves between abstract expression, florals, bold still-life pieces and whimsical everyday subjects, always with a sense of energy and curiosity.

Painting from her home studio in Brisbane, Rebecca creates art that is vibrant, personal and approachable — pieces designed to bring warmth, colour and a little joy into everyday spaces.
