this acrylic painting created on cotton canvas, shows alot of variation in the use of green hues, toned down with grey shading and highlighted with shots of white. In all of my greens I have used beige. It softens and slightly tones down the actual colour. It is a clever palette with the use of cool colours and warm colours. An abstract piece of art, this painting shows a spectacular cliff overlooking a deep valley, where the valley is feeling the last of the warmth of the sunset. I love to create movement in each piece I create. This would be a perfect painting for a very white or modern room, bringing some softness and earthiness to a particular room who may not have a view to the natural landscape. It can also enhance a very natural and open room, using alot of wood and natural resources to give an earthy, modern and fresh feel. It has been finished with a depth of black, to really bring forth and enhance the lighter hues. I have double glazed this work with an acrylic glaze, which gives it a satin look overall.
