"Aussie Bush in the Mist" depicts a tranquil Australian bush scene in monochromatic indigo blues. The soft background reflects a misty morning when the sun hasn't fully risen, and the landscape is still bathed in shadows.
I created this piece after doing some study of the beautiful Japanese Woodblock nature prints. Feeling inspired to create an artwork that portrayed d the layered effects of the Japanese prints, I painted this piece in various tones of one of my favourite deep blues - indigo.
