This artwork comes with an external frame

I have always loved Sturt Desert Peas. I have tried to grow them myself (With no success). I also looked into the genetically modified version of the Pea, which is supposed to be able to grow in most soils. I didn't even take it out of the pot before it died within a few hours of putting it in my yard. But also it was a 45 degree day when I brought it too...
With these experiences I decided to paint the flowers instead.
The frame is originally a golden frame - I painted over it in crimson, and at certain times of the day, or when light hits it, you can see the gold coming out underneath.
