Rebecca works and lives on the Mornington Peninsula and has a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Immersion) from Edith Cowan University in Perth, as well as a Master of Art in the Public Space from RMIT University in Melbourne.
When she makes art, sheโs hoping to share her own connections to the Australian landscape, as well as help others find their own connections with Australia. What started off as her worries about globalisation (deforestation, urban expansion and climate change) and a way to connect people and Australian birds, has now grown into creating and sharing images of other wildlife as well as the flora of Australia.
In addition to this, sheโs always loved older buildings and interesting looking places of significance, and has recently started doing more artworks which represent architecture that she finds particularly beautiful or striking to look at.
Rebecca's public art practice focuses on the use of text, poetic verse, and public spaces. Being multi-disciplinary, not many mediums are out of reach for Rebecca's artworks.
