Artist Bio

UPDATE: I'm currently taking a Medical Break from making art. Prints are still available. Thank you for your understanding and hopefully I will be back soon. Kind regards Nyalkba.

My name is Rebekah Nyalkba I am an Aboriginal Artist from the Northern Territory, now based in Adelaide in South Australia. Nyalkba is my Jawoyn name given by my Jawoyn grandmothers, elders and traditional owners of Katherine and custodians of Nitmiluk National Park. I was born in Darwin during the 1980s on the land of my paternal grandmother's people the Larrakia Nation. As a child my mother took me to be raised on her Jawoyn homeland in Katherine. I grew up amongst our tribe and around traditional language, dreaming stories, art, dance, singing, caring for animals and sacred country.
