Wakjilwu is the name for Rain time. This is part of the Marakga Gurl the cold time during the middle of wet season. This is my favourite time of the year on my Jawoyn homelands in south western Arnhem land, a nice change from the hot days.

Artist Bio
My name is Rebekah Nyalkba I am an Aboriginal Artist from the Northern Territory, now based in Adelaide in South Australia. Nyalkba is my Jawoyn name given by my Jawoyn grandmothers, elders and traditional owners of Katherine and custodians of Nitmiluk National Park.
I was born in Darwin during the 1980s on the land of my paternal grandmother's people the Larrakia Nation.
As a child my mother took me to be raised on her Jawoyn homeland in Katherine.
I grew up amongst our tribe and around traditional language, dreaming stories, art, dance, singing, caring for animals and sacred country.
