Reg is a keen observer of nature. He paints in acrylics, watercolour but also does digital art. His passion is the wild places, particularly of Tasmania. His work attempts to show his fascination with beautiful and wild coastal scenes.
His art comes from a background of an accomplished marine scientist (professor emeritus) with a knowledge stemming from decades of intimate observation. He feels a strong emotional connection to his subjects.
His favourite subjects include the Bay of Fires, the Twelve Apostles and Cradle Mountain National park. From the red rocks to the misty forests – he wants to paint it all.
He loves the way acrylics let him perfect his painting but also finds get excitement in the adventure of loose watercolour.

I am a keen and enthusiastic observer of nature. I paint in acrylics, watercolour but also explore digital art. My passion is the wild places where nature excels. I delight in highlighting the beautiful and striking coastal, mountain and forest scenes - to make them accessible to all. I will continue to donate art to charities - the joy and benefits of art should be shared.

My art is influenced by a background of decades as a marine biologist and naturalist. I feel a strong emotional connection to my subjects. Through my art, I strive to introduce the beauty of Australia's scenic wonders to everyone. If possible, I want to transport you to wonderful places, real and imaginary.

My favourite subjects include Australia’s natural treasures including the Bay of Fires, the Twelve Apostles and Cradle Mountain National park. From the glorious red rocks to the misty forests – I have a need to paint it all – so you can see it, feel it, and it can become part of your home and your life.
