Artwork Description

The Wandering Duke - is composed of a unique multilayered process which including impasto Gel over patterned fabric, liquefied acrylics and graphite pencil . Painted in my signature hybrid style of deconstructed realism. Intense detail in the face and eyes, which progressively dissolves into gestural markings revealing sections of background - This work is painted on stretched cotton duck fabric featuring gold hued Australian botanicals - The fabric is stretched around the sides of the artwork so framing is not necessary unless desired (though i do recommend a frame for this piece as it does finish the artwork off very nicely accenting the black in the magpie perfectly) - a custom float frame is available for this piece in Matt black for an additional cost of $170 - please ask the Blue thumb team about this additional extra -
All artworks are signed on the front and Stamped on the reverse side using my unique artists logo wax seal - The reference image was taken by acclaimed WA photographer Judy Walkside.

This artwork was exhibited in the highly successful 2019 showcase - "The Birdcage" Held at Revival Art Gallery In Brisbane
