I’m interested in the juxtaposition of use, recreational today and existential in the time before. With this work, I’m exploring the need to look after the environment we inhabit. Caring for and making changes for the benefit of the environment is not an abstract notion, it is all around us. I have used acrylic paint and relief printmaking techniques to create this work with reference to a ‘commemorative plate’, memorializing a scene that we stand to lose with climate change.
