Rene grew up in the Ernabella with her family in the 60's where she went to school at the Ernabella mission. In the early 70's Rene went to school in Armata and took the opportunity to travel for dancing the Seven Sisters story. Rene has been dancing ever since. IN 1973 Rene met who would be her husband and they walked from Ernabella to his country , Kaltukatjara. Rene now lives between Kaltukatjara and Mutijulu to be with her children.
