Artwork Description

Print on stretched canvas, ready to hang.

My mother was born on a mission in South Australia called Koonibba. Her grandparents raised her and throughout all her childhood she moved from town to town as her grandfather had to chase work as a farmer. During all her growing up and travelling from place to place throughout South Australia the outdoors was what she loved the most. She had a love for all the wildflowers that surrounded her. Today she still admires all the wildflowers that grow on the side of the road as well as the wildflowers in fields when we are travelling. Because of my mother's love of nature and a result of being born in the desert I have decided to put as much life and colour to depict all the beautiful colours of the Desert Wildflowers blooming from my mother’s country in the South Australian desert.
