The musician is hand painted on a background of their sheet music relating to the artwork title, so this piece is entitled "Back to Black".
This gorgeous work that comes already framed is part of an amazing project called MusArt that originated in Melbourne and involves a small number of very talented local artists. You can find other Musart participants by searching within Bluethumb : )
