Artwork Description

'Softly Slowly Seascape 01' is an original oil painting by Maye Louise.

In my art practice I visualise landscapes/timescapes/dreamscapes before, after and beyond human influence.
In my latest series, Softly, Slowly I explore compositions and colours expressive of calm, dreamlike states, visually influenced by coastal regions of Australia.

The painting coveys an impression of a dreamy seascape sunset with low hanging clouds.

This medium sized painting is built up with multiple layers of oil paint. There are areas of vertical texture visible from the lower layers creating depth and character.

The colour palette palette consists of white, grey, blue, dusky pink and peach sunset hues. All the colours are soft and low contrast for a calming result.

This artwork will harmonise beautifully with coastal styled interiors and look especially vibrant alongside blues tones in the interior palette.

This painting is signed on the back.

This oil painting is unvarnished and as such has a beautiful matte finish which is my preferred aesthetic and will not show reflections.

PLEASE NOTE: This painting is oil paint on a stretched canvas stretcher as shown in photos.
The canvas does not have wire hanging at the back.

FRAMING OPTIONS:
The painting wraps around the canvas edges meaning the painting doesn’t require framing.
For a clean minimalist look the painting can remain unframed. Or be framed at a later time.

If you prefer framing, utilise Bluethumb’s framing options.
