Renee is an Australian artist and designer living and creating from her home on the NSW Central Coast. Her current works feature predominantly abstract watercolour and ink but with a strong love of mixed media and digital art.
Beginning her creative career as a graphic designer and finding her appreciation for art and design in a rather controlled environment, Renee began exploring abstract art as a peaceful pastime before committing to painting full-time from her small home studio.
Renee's style is often full of movement and texture, involving layered pattern and detail adding depth and intricacy to each piece. She likes to create based upon mood and usually feel a strong pull towards the free flow and texture of liquid mediums such as watercolour, ink and fluid acrylic. Often not having a plan, her art is heavily intuitive requiring her to let go and see what happens. This often achieves interesting results and means her style is always evolving and changing.
