About

I love trees and with a name like ‘WOODmore’ it should be no surprise that my favourite subject in my paintings is trees.
I am probably best known for my paintings of Jacaranda trees. In Italy Italy’s largest book publisher and third largest magazine publisher in France (Mondadori) have one of my Jacaranda paintings on the cover of a novel with a 2000 print run.
In Australia the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) published ten of my paintings in a hard backed book, a thesis on Jacaranda trees.
My work has also been featured in six pages of Artist’s Palette Magazine March 2017. Over seventy of my original artworks have been purchased by corporate and private art enthusiasts around the world, especially in the US where in Arizona the private Castleton collection consists of more than twenty of my originals.
I hope you enjoy my work as much as I did in producing it. ‘God’s creation, my inspiration. He put the Art in my HeArt’

Press

Born in 1945, I retired from horticulture and self taught, began painting in late 2009. I love trees and after many years of growing thousands of trees and with a name like ‘WOODmore’ it should bes no surprise that I am best known for my ‘family friendly’ tree paintings, especially Jacaranda trees.

Influences

I admire greatly the work of Claude Monet, George Stubbs, Vincent Van Gogh, Tom Roberts, Hans Heysen and Albert Namatjira.
