The Bushwalk

When I can, I love taking walks along Australian bush paths, particularly if it's in the early hours of the morning, it's wonderful. I remember one such walk when everything was quiet and a low-lying cloud was still clinging to the tress. The air smelt fresh with lemon scented gum trees. I felt has if was the only one on the path and all the birdlife was still asleep when suddenly, the mist cleared, and a Rosella crossed my path...

Rhoda Shaylee Watkins is a painter of fine art in fauna, landscapes, seascapes, and portraiture which she loves discovering through different expressions such as her abstract impressions of the beauty and compelling changes of nature. She grew up in Victoria, Australia from the 1950’s through 70’s when many unconventionalities activated across the world in such things as inequality and productivity issues...the forerunner to what we enjoy today. This formed a mindset that anything can be achieved when you have a vision for it. This has given her the impetus to finally follow her heart and create art as her main hobby. After many years in the corporate world and now retired, Shaylee enjoys pursuing her love of art, exploring different formats and imparting impressions from scenes that move her heart and mind into her artworks. She believes positive thought-injected perspective or imagination through art helps reconnect with balanced emotions and a positive outlook to life that can bring a joy d’evre to each new day.
