I Wanted to paint something that would go with coastal or anything really but not dark blue and white the usual you see every where.
l wanted greys with different lighter blues like Duck egg blue my girlfriends favourite colour.
But painting on the silver even when putting white down first changes the shades .
I went for a deeper grey underneath so the duck egg colour l mixed would come up perfectly against the silver .
I will explain my thoughts behind this piece.
Three magpies the one on left thinks he is so funny
The other two do not think so. Magpie's can be such funny characters and have such funny expressions.
That they remind me of My husband ! He thinks He is so funny when we’re away my girlfriend and l sit and listen to her husband and mine thinking they’re hilarious.
They’re really not that funny . But it reminded so much of these three l had to paint this piece.
