Artwork Description

This painting is of my memories and love of the mid north of South Australia, with its many decaying towns, warm old sandstone buildings and space. After many holidays all through the north of South Australia, the space and peace stands out to me, and the quiet decaying beauty (often restored and valued today)
This painting is influenced by the feeling of the australian painter LLoyd Rees, with his focus on strong form and rich texture.
