Tian is fixated on symbols and patterns - particularly recurring imagery includes but is not limited to suns and halos, mothers and fathers, nature and fractals. Evident in this body of work and even more in their total collection is Tian’s limitless styles and modes of expression. Tian is particularly enraptured by the dance between representation and abstraction, where the mind is firing on all cylinders to understand - to create meaning. Kobe born international artist, Tian was trained in New York, exhibited in Tokyo, Hong Kong, NY, Taiwan, and Melbourne. Currently resides in Melbourne. Here, Tian developed and cultivated a wide array of artistic endeavors, on this platform is presented their calligraphic art of symbolism.
