The Close to Home series was intended to showcase the little moments of natural beauty occurring in Australian backyards and parks that bring joy to the artist. Australia is home to a wonderful variety of native flora and fauna, including interesting and uniquely evolved plants such as the Eucalypts. This unmistakably Australian flower is known as Eucalyptus Macrocarpa. The textured pod hinges at the back and opens up to reveal a stunning red stringy flower.
