Oil on linen
Signed certificate of authenticity.
Artist Statement: The first flowers are blooming in the garden and giving hope of better things to come.
This work is oil and acrylic on 100X200cm fine Belgian linen, signed on the front and sent with an artist cv and certificate of authenticity.
This work is sealed with a Conservationist Gloss Varnish which means you are able to wipe the painting free of dust with a damp cloth which will protect it and help preserve its life. Conservationist quality varnish is essential as it doesn't yellow or crack with age and light. It is painted on Fine Belgian Linen. Linen provides a beautiful surface for the paint and is long lasting so gives the painting posterity for many hundreds of years. The work is sent Unstretched (this is taken into account in the price) in a roll ready for stretching and or framing.
The work is painted on the sides so if hung stretched without an exterior frame it will still look lovely from any angle (no ugly white sides). I hang all large work in my home without an exterior frame as I think it allows the imagination to picture the painting continuing beyond its borders and not be contained.
If you decide to add an exterior frame I suggest choosing a frame that matches your furniture. ie if you have natural timber choose a timber frame, if you have a lot of black trim choose a black frame.
Note on Framing: Framing prices and quality of work varies greatly from framer to framer. If you want a quote for framing all you need is the size of the painting. If you want to choose an exterior frame you might need to go in to a store to choose one.
All work over 100cm is sent via Pack and Send and under 100cm is sent via Australia Post Express
