Artwork Description

Abel Tasman was the first European to sight the west coast of Tasmania in 1640 aboard the vessel Heemskirk, he named the mountain he sighted as Mount Heemskirk it's honour.

Artist Bio

I am a self taught landscape photographer from SA, shooting Kodachrome for many years until the digital revolution and photoshop made for a compelling change of medium to digital in the mid 2000s, I also work with textures to create surreal and impressionistic images.

My printing is done on a Epson P906 photo printer up to A2 size, larger sizes are sent to a professional printing lab in Adelaide. Done on high quality photographic papers either Canson Photographique11 or Ilford Galerie with aprox' 2 cm border to allow for matting .
