An historic record of the 100th birthday of Port Noarlunga JettyThere are many historical features throughout the Flinders Ranges, railway infrastructure such as these cottages, mine workings and long abandon homesteads from a period when seasons were good for cropping. The hot, relentless sun sucks the life out and bleaches everything in the Outback. When I shot this scene the Flinders Ranges were in the grip of severe and prolonged drought conditions, not a blade of grass to be seen. Pastoralists we’re suffering , not to mention the animals . So I’ve processed this to reflect the bleached , arid landscape Iexperienced that day.
