Mostly I aim to create paintings that are beautiful, and in that pursuit , the Australian landscape is perfect.

Sometimes though I enjoy pure Expressionism.
I love using oils. Applied thickly with palette knife or fingers, full of texture and character. For me, just filling in colour with a brush is beyond dull.
I have a lot of my paintings in my house. I've seen how they look in all light, poor light or from the side as the sun sets. I like how they change character with changes in light so I'm working on enhancing that feature.
