Highly collectible and internationally acclaimed Australian artist Robert Hagan is best known for his landscape and wildlife paintings, which have become even more popular in his later years. He gained international recognition for his vibrant and expressive style, often depicting scenes from the Australian outback, coastal areas, and wildlife. Hagan's work has been exhibited and collected internationally, and he is regarded as a prominent figure in the world of contemporary Australian art.
During his Jackeroo days, Hagan developed an intimate understanding of his subject. As a result, he skillfully captures the muster action. Three Sisters in the stunning Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, is the setting for a downhill stampede of horses. The leading horse is followed by two stockmen trying vainly to bring some order to the rush and dust around them, while above, the darting pinks of disturbed galahs punctuate the crisp blue sky.
