Artwork Description

A n imaginary out of the brain painting based on the Alocasias growing in my garden. Tropical plants are often monumental in size and vigor and inspire fast painting. A Work On Paper that needs a glass cover available through many outlets. All my works are marked with a distinctive chop and are signed, dated, and titled on the back.

Artist Bio

Robert John Burton – Painting Messages about My Autism and Surviving Cancer
I am Robert John Burton, a painter based in Townsville where I have lived since graduating from the Queensland College of Art. As a solitary artisan, I was noted and collected by institutions for my ceramic sculptures having participated in solo and group shows. Although I have displayed paintings in several of my exhibitions and began exhibiting paintings in pre-college years.
My subject matter reflects my interest in the world and past activities remembered. Also, some of my paintings blend paint with messages, creating a narrative in each piece. Daily application to my artist diaries have become an essential source for my paintings.
Every day I stare my cancer down and I walk in Nature, then paint en plein air when energy levels allow.
To see my latest projects or to get in touch, visit my website or find me on YouTube where I am an autism advocate and have painting demonstrations with the handle Robert John Burton. My full name will find me on Facebook.
