"Hidden Gem"

This piece was based on a picturesque scene half way down the mountain road towards Burrinjuck Dam. A wonderful 'En Plein Air' moment indeed, but as this scene is adjacent a tight hair pin turn in the road, and with no desire to be air lifted to a hospital that day, a photo and studio work would have to suffice.

My artist journey up to this point has been a matter of 'when'.
When do I commit to this passion? When do i fully immerse myself in the creative process and let instinct take over?
When do I try to capture the beauty and strength of our amazing country?
The answer to the 'when', is now.
My preferred medium is whatever the piece requires, acrylics, oils, water colour, pencil, pastel or a combination of all. The subject and size will determine the medium.
I hope you and others will follow me on this journey to attempt to capture the beauty and grandeur of our beautiful country and that one of my works finds a loving place on your wall.
