The I'iwi - or Hawaiian Honeycreeper, is an endemic species found in the islands, noted for its wonderful coloring . This is one of a series of endangered birds that I have been making for the past few months. I am troubled that so many of these lovely birds are at risk, mostly due to loss of habitat from human intervention. The sale of these paintings helps me to support many of the groups that are working to rescue these species .
