The painting was based on a photo I took at night! In a back street in Unley, Adelaide. Of course, my inspiration is, and was, Ed Hopper.

I am an Art teacher and have been painting for over 25 years. I paint exclusively in acrylic (sometimes with oil glazes). I am interested in narrative in art. In my more contemplative work, I try to present a 'back story' with the hope the viewer will find the work intriguing. I paint murals, furniture, scenic art and fine art commissions. I have a background in film making , so I try to instill a filmic quality into my work.
