This artwork came about largely by a lucky accident. I love playing with reflections and I was trimming down some burrs on the aluminium sheet this painting was painted on. An old milkshake cup caught my eye and I put the cup on the aluminium sheet and loved the result. This is what I saw.
Hard to see are the machine marks where the original cup was formed in the factory at the back of the cup.
This artwork is painted with a large amount of "Graphite Grey" which is quite fragile paint. Due to the large amount of graphite in the paint itself the painting was profoundly difficult to shoot (due to reflection of light from the graphite. Some colours may vary slightly from the real artwork.
