Take a Moment

A love of nature and in particular birds, water, and plants most often emerges through my painting. My eyes are drawn to random pops of colour that occur when out amongst the flora and fauna. Whether it's the change of seasons, or stages of life - new, living or dying, many colours always appear. Most, if not all, of my colours , can be found out in nature.

A spark ignited by a pen and wash class 20 years ago has blossomed into art, in it’s many forms, being an integral part of my life.
Whilst having no formal art education, my semester courses with the Brisbane Institute of Art for over 14 years has enriched my understanding of art in it’s many forms. From history, photography, creative application, website design.
Using many different mediums - watercolour, oil, acrylic, ink, pencil, charcoal, pastel, mosaics.
Many styles have been explored -still life, life drawing, print making, abstract, collage, mixed media, sculpture.
Over the past few years my art has focussed on creative, spiritually inspired painting which incorporates my love of yoga, nature and serenity. They way I like to live my life.
