African Head Tie

Lightweight, designed to be displayed on a picture shelf, not needing framing, unless desired.
This work is a study in simplicity, limiting the palette to just three colours, mainly ultramarine blue, white and a little burnt sienna.
The colours are kept muted to produce a quiet reflective artwork.

After attending art classes both in person & online, I am currently just enjoying the physical process of creating in this increasingly digital age. My other work is computer Clinical coding - work that involves reading computer monitors all day. The physicality of art, touching the paint and tools is therapeutically opposite. Life is all about contrast.
I especially love following artists online, even more so learning about their story & soul journey that accompanies their art.
Drawing people is my main passion and always has been, even as a young girl. However I'm finding a new appreciation for abstract art and hope to combine these interests.
I like to experiment with most mediums, sometimes they become mixed media pieces.
The artists journey, the heroes journey, the history, the story is what interests me the most.
