The kitchen always offers interesting shapes and textures to arrange and re-arrange as inspiration for paintings. I like to lose and then find the background, the positive and negative spaces. I am interested in challenging the "rules" of perspective.
I like to think these inanimate objects take on an animated role in my work. The spaces and placements are very important, as if there is a conversation going on.
