Artwork Description

This Indian has been painted purely for the enjoyment of painting the colourful feathers in the head dress. I named him chief Atohi (pronounced ah-TOH-hee) which in Cherokee means ‘woods’, my surname. Seemed like a fun name to give this wise old man.

Artist Bio

I love the freedom that art allows me with swishes of colour and beauty. My favourite is beach scenes as this is where I love to spend as much time as possible. Dragging my feet across the sand, feeling the water ebb and flow.
I have always enjoyed sketching and cartooning, eventually expanding my horizons and branching into the colorful world that is painting, both acrylics and watercolours. I also love photography which in turn feeds the passion for painting as most of the photos I take are for future art inspiration .
Art is where I can get lost and just go with the flow of what’s in front of me. I find beauty in simple things like sunsets and water droplets on spider webs in spring I’m a dreamer and free spirit.
