Beachside Whispers

SENSATIONAL! WOW! WOW!
As I created "Beachside Whispers" I wanted to evoke the serenity I feel when spending time by the ocean at dusk. With the use of fluid art techniques, delicate patterns form, reminiscent of shells scattered across the velvet sands, inviting you to explore the nuances of natures artistry amid the haunting echoes of surfs ebb and flow. I let the fluid mediums spontaneous movement create a delicate ripple affect with an intricate silk like webbing... Each layer mirrors the sea hues of the shore, forming a captivating tapestry that speaks of the whispers from the beachside-soft, soothing, and endlessly mesmerizing.
"Beachside Whispers" will be sadly missed, as it was a real challenge for me. I spent many hours on the painting sometimes working against the mediums own desire to take over but I finally won and the outcome is simply divine and one I truly adore.
Images on a screen do not portray the intricate detail and the non tactile textures in this artwork, as it really needs to be seen in person to really appreciate the overall beauty and simplicity of the piece.
I have chosen to frame this elegant artwork in a light timber oak frame which really enhances the colour palette and elevates the artwork to a new level of sophistication and elegance.
The artwork is minimalistic in nature and will look stunning in a space that has a modern fresh, light and bright decor. Perhaps a coastal / Hamptoms atmosphere with rattan accents and breezy light sheers evoking the feeling of being beachside. Alternatively in a darker space where you want to give it a lift and create contrast.

Coming from a family of artists, I have been surrounded by creativity and artistic expression throughout my life, which has significantly shaped my approach to art today.
I was born in Sydney NSW and have been living on the beautiful Gold Coast in QLD for the last 16years.
My art style is modern contemporary/abstract, sometimes leaning towards impressionism and the techniques I use in this art form have captured a new edgy perspective from the usual fluid art experience. I mainly use acrylic paints with polymer as a flow medium, although I also love to use alcohol ink as another medium.

My practice explores fluid art as a means of interpreting the essence of place beyond literal representation.
Inspired by the movement of coastal waters and the raw beauty of the Australian landscape, I work with colour, organic forms, layered compositions, textures and transparency to evoke the character and atmosphere of a place.

Balancing intuition with intension , I embrace the unpredictable nature of the medium while carefully guiding each work towards its own identity. For me, fluid art is more than the creation of patterns; it is a process of discovery, where movement, depth and unexpected details come together to express a feeling, a sense of place and a story of its own.

I want each work to offer more than an image- a feeling a connection, or a place the observer can return to in their imagination.

My artworks are held in private collections throughout Australia and abroad and have also been represented in many galleries across Queensland and NSW and internationally.
