Artwork Description

WHAT IS IT ABOUT THE SEA THAT MAKES US PAUSE, BREATHE AND LINGER A LITTLE LONGER?

"Between Time & Tide" is inspired by the constantly shifting edge where seawater meets the shore. I have used fluid techniques to create layers of delicate organic forms that evoke sea wash, and the natural movement of coastal waters.
The intricate formations contrast with softer flowing passages , creating a sense of rhythm and depth while allowing the eye to continually discover something new.
Rather than depicting a particular place, the work captures a feeling - that quiet moment between movement and stillness when the sea seems to slow.

There is a delicacy to the fine, flowing details that gives this work an elegant, almost ethereal quality. It could compliment a refined, minimalist interior without feeling stark or overly decorative. Against whites, warm neutrals, timber, stone or soft furnishings, the subtle blues, whites, and organic greens could introduce just enough colour and visual movement to enliven the room while retaining a sophisticated ambience.

I just had to frame this delicious artwork which has added another level of sophistication and interest to the piece. I chose a modern light oak coloured timber float frame .
Softly coated with layers of Archival varnish to help protect it from U V rays and to enhance the pastel colour palette. ( Not a high gloss finish)
Quality artists grade paints and pigments. Polymer emulsions.
Ready to hang.
A certificate of authenticity enclosed.
A one of a kind piece.

Thank you for looking in on "Between Time and Tide" I absolutely adored creating this piece and I am truly stunned as to the final outcome. Make sure you Zoom in to gaze at that fine detail!

A PIECE DESIGNED NOT SIMPLY TO FILL A SPACE, BUT TO BRING CALM, COASTAL BEAUTY AND UNDERSTATED ELEGANCE INTO THE ROOM.

Artist Bio

I push fluid art beyond the pour, beyond the patterns, beyond the expected!
Because fluid art isn't just about what the paint does. It's about what you make it say!

I am an award winning artist. Please see some of my achievements on my profile.
Coming from a family of artists, I have been surrounded by creativity and artistic expression throughout my life, which has significantly shaped my approach to art today. I am sure I was born with paint running through my veins and paintbrush in hand.
I was born in Sydney NSW and have been living on the beautiful Gold Coast in QLD for the last 16years.
I am an independent self-educated artist, across many diverse art forms including acrylic abstract art, Chinese brush painting, alcohol ink painting, bark pictures and over the last 6 years I have been challenging my spirits and exploring the many different facets and techniques of fluid art. My art style is modern contemporary/abstract, sometimes leaning towards impressionism and the techniques I use in this art form , have captured a new edgy perspective from the usual fluid art experience. I mainly use acrylic paints with polymer as a flow medium, although I also love to use alcohol ink as another medium.
As an abstract fluid artist influenced by impressionism, my inspiration and my artistic practice flows from my love of IKIGAI where passion, mission, vocation, and profession converge. My aim is to evoke emotion and provoke thought through vibrant and subtle colours and dynamic forms. The natural beauty of coastal and hinterland landscapes on the Gold Coast further fuels my creativity, allowing me to express my experiences and emotions through my art. I embrace the fluidity of life, allowing each piece to evolve organically, reflecting the beauty of existence and invite viewers to explore the depths of their own IKIGAI.
My artworks are held in private collections throughout Australia and abroad and have also been represented in many galleries across Queensland and NSW and internationally.

The pour is just the beginning!
