Artwork Description

This piece emerges from the feeling of longing for a place that is both real and imagined. " Somewhere " captures the emotional residue of landscapes- the softness of air, the subtle weight of earth, the way light drifts across both. The walk becomes a visual breath, a moment of calm where colour and flow shape a sense of belonging.
I have used subtle colours such as silver greys paynes grey, dreamy whites and pastel sandy/ ochre colours for a dramatic contrast. This artwork is a contemporary twist and will transport you to a place of sublime wellbeing.
Somewhere can be paired with Head in the Clouds as a diptych or solo and will look stunning in any interior style and will make that WOW statement especially one with a coastal breezy, or Hamptons vibe. It will also make a statement in any commercial application but still being a minimalistic, sophisticated piece.
There is no real need to have this artwork framed as the paint flows freely over the edges but if so desired I would recommend a floater frame in light oak. It would simply look stunning!
Just as each viewer is unique, so too is the energy derived from this artwork.
Somewhere has been varnished with 3 layers of archival varnish to enhance the colour and protect it from UV rays.

Artist Bio

I push fluid art beyond the pour, beyond the patterns, beyond the expected!
Because fluid art isn't just about what the paint does. It's about what you make it say!

I am an award winning artist. Please see some of my achievements on my profile.
Coming from a family of artists, I have been surrounded by creativity and artistic expression throughout my life, which has significantly shaped my approach to art today. I am sure I was born with paint running through my veins and paintbrush in hand.
I was born in Sydney NSW and have been living on the beautiful Gold Coast in QLD for the last 16years.
I am an independent self-educated artist, across many diverse art forms including acrylic abstract art, Chinese brush painting, alcohol ink painting, bark pictures and over the last 6 years I have been challenging my spirits and exploring the many different facets and techniques of fluid art. My art style is modern contemporary/abstract, sometimes leaning towards impressionism and the techniques I use in this art form , have captured a new edgy perspective from the usual fluid art experience. I mainly use acrylic paints with polymer as a flow medium, although I also love to use alcohol ink as another medium.
As an abstract fluid artist influenced by impressionism, my inspiration and my artistic practice flows from my love of IKIGAI where passion, mission, vocation, and profession converge. My aim is to evoke emotion and provoke thought through vibrant and subtle colours and dynamic forms. The natural beauty of coastal and hinterland landscapes on the Gold Coast further fuels my creativity, allowing me to express my experiences and emotions through my art. I embrace the fluidity of life, allowing each piece to evolve organically, reflecting the beauty of existence and invite viewers to explore the depths of their own IKIGAI.
My artworks are held in private collections throughout Australia and abroad and have also been represented in many galleries across Queensland and NSW and internationally.

The pour is just the beginning!
