Artwork Description

"What The Tide Kept" explores the interplay between memory and the subconscious. Much like the ocean deposits fragments onto the shore, this fluid composition brings hidden internal landscapes to light. Swirling, layered pigments mimic the natural rhythm of waves, inviting you to uncover what remains after the water resides.
This stunning mosaic type painting, has been created using many fluid art techniques, and as you can see from the images, the artwork has many layers to it, some hidden under the surfs wash but others coming out from the base layer which in turn exudes wonderment and intrigue. Zoom in to really get a feel of the fine detail in the work.
This light, elegant, refreshing ethereal piece will look sensational in a space that is just calling out for attention or one that just needs to compliment your existing collection.
"What The Tide Kept" has been a rewarding painting for me to create and my hope is, that it will resonate with you the viewer enough to invest in this one of a kind piece and add it to your collection or perhaps just an amazing piece to start with.
I have opted to frame the artwork in a beautiful quality light coloured timber oak float frame which just elevates it to another level of interest and also compliments the style of the painting.
I have coated the piece with a soft layer of Archival varnish to help protect it from U V rays and to also enhance the colour palette. The painting is ready to hang with all hardware attached and also comes with a certificate of authenticity for your records.
Thank you for looking in on this artwork and may I say it is just gorgeous!

Artist Bio

I push fluid art beyond the pour, beyond the patterns, beyond the expected!
Because fluid art isn't just about what the paint does. It's about what you make it say!

I am an award winning artist. Please see some of my achievements on my profile.
Coming from a family of artists, I have been surrounded by creativity and artistic expression throughout my life, which has significantly shaped my approach to art today. I am sure I was born with paint running through my veins and paintbrush in hand.
I was born in Sydney NSW and have been living on the beautiful Gold Coast in QLD for the last 16years.
I am an independent self-educated artist, across many diverse art forms including acrylic abstract art, Chinese brush painting, alcohol ink painting, bark pictures and over the last 6 years I have been challenging my spirits and exploring the many different facets and techniques of fluid art. My art style is modern contemporary/abstract, sometimes leaning towards impressionism and the techniques I use in this art form , have captured a new edgy perspective from the usual fluid art experience. I mainly use acrylic paints with polymer as a flow medium, although I also love to use alcohol ink as another medium.
As an abstract fluid artist influenced by impressionism, my inspiration and my artistic practice flows from my love of IKIGAI where passion, mission, vocation, and profession converge. My aim is to evoke emotion and provoke thought through vibrant and subtle colours and dynamic forms. The natural beauty of coastal and hinterland landscapes on the Gold Coast further fuels my creativity, allowing me to express my experiences and emotions through my art. I embrace the fluidity of life, allowing each piece to evolve organically, reflecting the beauty of existence and invite viewers to explore the depths of their own IKIGAI.
My artworks are held in private collections throughout Australia and abroad and have also been represented in many galleries across Queensland and NSW and internationally.

The pour is just the beginning!
