Artwork Description

Through" Zen Horizons" I explore the intersection of nature and spirituality, where the subtle nuances of a Pagoda's architecture meets the majestic grandeur of the misty mountains. The painting is an ode to the beauty of subtlety and the power of suggestion. Amidist the soft, whispery greys, and whites a splash of gold emerges in the form of a bamboo cluster. This bamboo stands as a symbol of resilience and harmony, set against the ethereal backdrop of misty mountain peaks.
In this work, I aimed to distill the essence of the eastern aesthetic, with its emphasis on simplicity, elegance and the balance of opposites with lively textural brushstrokes.
I have created this artwork with a totally different approach to my recent fluid art techniques/ paintings, just to shake things up a bit and to challenge myself on a different path. I have adopted fast moving brushstrokes creating textured forms and shapes to capture my abstract interpretation of an eastern landscape.
The artwork comes ready to hang with all hardware in place, ready to just place in that little space that needs some love to compliment any decor really. Light and bright and with a calming vibe it will surely lift your spirits. "Zen Horizons' also comes with a certificate of authenticity. You can also choose to have this artwork framed, the choice is yours.
Thank you in taking the time to read about "Zen Horizons" it was a joy to create and if you are the fortunate collector who purchases this piece then I am sure it will bring you as much joy for years to come.

Artist Bio

I push fluid art beyond the pour, beyond the patterns, beyond the expected!
Because fluid art isn't just about what the paint does. It's about what you make it say!

I am an award winning artist. Please see some of my achievements on my profile.
Coming from a family of artists, I have been surrounded by creativity and artistic expression throughout my life, which has significantly shaped my approach to art today.
I was born in Sydney NSW and have been living on the beautiful Gold Coast in QLD for the last 16years.
My art style is modern contemporary/abstract, sometimes leaning towards impressionism and the techniques I use in this art form have captured a new edgy perspective from the usual fluid art experience. I mainly use acrylic paints with polymer as a flow medium, although I also love to use alcohol ink as another medium.

My practice explores fluid art as a means of interpreting the essence of place beyond literal representation.
Inspired by the movement of coastal waters and the raw beauty of the Australian landscape, I work with colour, organic forms, layered compositions, textures and transparency to evoke the character and atmosphere of a place.

Balancing intuition with intension , I embrace the unpredictable nature of the medium while carefully guiding each work towards its own identity. For me, fluid art is more than the creation of patterns; it is a process of discovery, where movement, depth and unexpected details come together to express a feeling, a sense of place and a story of its own.

I want each work to offer more than an image- a feeling a connection, or a place the observer can return to in their imagination.

My artworks are held in private collections throughout Australia and abroad and have also been represented in many galleries across Queensland and NSW and internationally.

The pour is just the beginning!
