This artwork is acrylic on canvas. Standing in front of it you see multiple transparent layers of various shades of blue. Some rich, transparent turquoise like the ocean and others a deep dark and strong blue. It has small elements of greens and a rich contrast of a bright and bold fluorescent orange. This paintings gives a feeling of boldness and strength. It's colours, natural to the landscape, looks beautiful in a warm neutral room. It will also bring bold colour to where multiple colours already exist or fit nicely in a white room with small pops of blue hue.

This artwork is rolled. This allows you to choose multiple framing options, including stretching it at the local framers. Framing it yourself behind glass, or choosing the option to have it delivered already framed and ready to hang.

I am a part time abstract artist living an hour outside of Melbourne. I have loved painting and other forms of creative expression all my life. I am in constant awe of the colours in the natural world and I am forever exploring this by creating beautiful colour combinations in each artwork that is inspired by what I see in the Australian landscape.

I use high quality paints that create more vibrancy, and build beautiful colour combinations through multiple layers. I love being in the process of painting; thinking ahead as I build background layers of soft, neutral tones that I know will compliment the juicy, more textured final layers of the painting. The dynamic nature of oil paint glazes and opaque finishes is also what creates such depth and beautiful textures in my artwork.

I also believe in the power of creative expression, that it will shift stagnant energy, creating harmony and flow, and I constantly feel the affects of this on a personal level. I enjoy the free expression of abstract creations and also occasionally will render form that reflects the beauty in the natural world, such as flowers, the beautiful ocean and beachside of Australian culture, or the natural colours of fruits and plants.
The subject matter I explore is often a reflection of the vitality existent in the natural world and how we are connected to it, as well as, of course, the beautiful colours we find here in Australia.
Each painting is finished with a gloss varnish, giving it a lovely finish that accentuates the vibrancy of the colours and also gives it longevity and protection.
