"Farmhouses Forlorn" by Rochelle Toomey
Two old abandoned farmhouses sit alone in a gold field under a stormy sky. With their rundown exteriors, weathered look and missing front doors, this painting evokes feelings about things forelorn and forgotten.
Currently, I am focused on painting some gorgeous, moody landscapes in my current work. I am strongly influenced by places and landscapes that are peaceful, melancholy and evoke a feeling of home to me. Farm landscapes are always so charming and make the perfect focal points of my paintings. I hope you enjoy this piece. The scene is painted in Rochelle's unique watercolour style.
The artist often takes inspiration from architecture, nature and landscapes that take the viewer on a journey and bring feelings of warmth and contentment.
