Artwork Description

Spectacular giant gumnut blossoms from the weeping Silver Princess gumtree at my daughters school. The gentle morning light falling on the vibrant red flowers and my stunning Daintree vase, creating a wonderful contrast between softness and intensity; realism and the almost abstract qualities of the vase and the wildly unique, puffy blooms. I enjoyed the feeling of movement while painting the shadows and the large cascading gum leaves - another fascinating specimen of Australian flora. ❤️
Painted in oils with love xx
