This is a show stopper…..It’s easy for me to muck up a painting. When I do, I rip it up and bin it. But I’m in the habit of keeping parts of discards, particularly where the paintwork is working. A section that is striking. Gorgeous. Flowing.I might then use that in another piece. This painting has pieces stuck down and completed by adding and extending the concept. It gives it a slight 3D effect.
The title….Exploding Landscape: La Primavera refers to Spring and how Nature behaves after the hibernation of Winter. Growth and abundance everywhere.
