Roney was born in Sri Lanka, where his love for the outdoors blossomed from growing up near the sea and being surrounded by nature. Throughout his life, he has been fascinated by photography and its unique ability to capture the world from a different perspective. This natural curiosity led him to explore the Arts, a passion that deepened after moving to Australia. Here, he developed his painting skills, blending mixed media and acrylics to create vibrant, textured works.

With a background in photography and Travel, Roney draws inspiration from the Australian landscapes he encounters on his travels. His recent paintings reflect these landscapes, translating his experiences into expressive, colorful compositions.
