Painting, creating and artistic design has been my lifelong passion. Finding ways to be creative, in particular painting, challenges and inspires me daily. I work mostly in acrylic on canvas with the occasional use of watercolour, gouache and ink. I love working with a palette of bright and bold colours and a quiver of brush techniques to bring my artistic focus of native Australian birds, animals, flowers and still compositions to life in fine form and detail.
As a young girl growing up, the rugged Blue Mountains was a rich source of artistic inspiration. I developed a love of flora and fauna from an early age and could always be found with coloured pencils in hand creating, designing and drawing. These formative years ignited a passion to pursue my artistic dreams. I hold a Bachelor of Education in Graphic Design and Photography which has enabled me to gain broad experience as a graphic designer, photographer, stationary designer and visual merchandiser. Yet out of all the creative paths I have pursued, I have always felt my happiest and most at home with my paintbrush in hand.
Today I live in the Northern Suburbs of Sydney juggling time between raising three beautiful children, exploring new mediums, textures, subject matter and inspiration and creating art in my studio.
