Hi, I'm Rony — an abstract artist based in the beautiful Macedon Ranges, Victoria. I'm also a Psychologist and a Mum, both of which deeply influence my creative process. My work is driven by colour, joy, intuition and playfulness, exploring the parts of ourselves that often get buried beneath expectations, rules and everyday responsibilities.
My journey as an abstract artist began in kindergarten. At five years old, I painted a page full of colourful splashes, only to be told it wasn't a "proper painting". I eventually learned to paint within the lines, and for many years created detailed botanical works instead.
Years later, inspired by abstract art, I picked up a paintbrush again and rediscovered the freedom I'd loved as a child. It felt like reconnecting with a forgotten part of myself.
Today, I paint the way I wanted to when I was five — following joy rather than rules, trusting intuition, and allowing colour to lead the way. Through my work, I hope to create uplifting, expressive paintings that bring energy, beauty and a sense of playfulness into people's homes!
